Growing up fast
Gone are the times when tween girls are still entertained by Barbie dolls or playing hopscotch.
And for Hollywood artists like 13-year-old Elle Fanning it appears that they grow up even quicker than most.
In a new photo-shoot, a grown up Elle looks mature than her years as she poses in the hottest issue of Black Book magazine.
Elle wore a Tim Van Steenburgen bodysuit and vintage skirt from Archive Style Library for the feature.
She accessorized with an American Apparel belt and over the knee stockings from Prada.
Elle then struck a model-esque pose where she showed off her long limbs in a short outfit for another black and white portrait.
The teen star showed off her fun and goofy side in a series of goofy portraits and captured her growling, smiling and pulling faces.
The performer, who is starring in coming movie Super 8, outfitted in a long sleeve Chanel-esque jacket with jeans with minimal makeup and her long blonde hair which had subtle waves was being blown by a fan.
Elle joint her experience of working on Super 8 with director J.J. Abrams.
‘J.J. was so noble with us. When we were doing the big train-crash sequence, all these explosions were going on, and there were so many publics everywhere,’ Elle shared.
The Curious Case of Benjamin Button star and her big sister Dakota attend a regular high school with the 17-year-old graduation this week in Los Angeles.
They attend a $30,000 a year private school in North Hollywood and although high-class, allows the girls to have a semblance of a normal babyhood – when they’re not on movie sets.
And although both girls are now firmly on the Hollywood A-List she says that they are not fighting over roles just yet.
‘We haven’t gotten really competitive with movies yet. I don’t think we ever will,’ Elle said optimistically.
Previous night the actress stepped out of her sister’s shadow and out for the premier of her new movie Super 8 with Tom Cruise.
Although he is not in the film, which is produced by Steven Spielberg, he brought his star power to the proceedings.
She was just about the same height as the diminutive star and gave an indication that she will be a statuesque star as she has not stopped growing yet.
Super 8 reaches in North American movie theatres on Thursday shrouded in such secrecy that it may prove a hard sell in a summer bursting with familiar super-heroes and sequels.
