Is Kate's royal wedding dress a rip off?

While the entire world was going gaga about Kate Middleton's wedding gown, one woman was not amused! Isabella Orsini, goddaughter of Italian prime minister Silvio Berlusconi, had walked down the aisle in a strikingly similar dress.
Even though the two dresses were made by two separate designer

s, Sarah Burton's wedding gown design for Kate looks quite similar to that worn by Isabella which had been designed by Gerald Watelet.

Kate's lace applique bodice and sleeves, similar neckline, dramatic skirt and train look a notch different from that worn by Isabella, Daily Mail reported.

The similarity is so striking that newspapers across Germany, Belgium, France and Italy have branded the Duchess of Cambridge's dress a simple copy. The headlines have been screaming-'Copy-Kate' and 'Copycat Kate'.
However, Isabella maintained a diplomatic stance about the wedding dress fiasco. "As soon as the Duchess of Cambridge went out to go to church, I thought her dress was a copy of mine. It means Kate Middleton has good taste," said Isabella.
