Titanic star Leonardo DiCaprio will play the role of a high-tech con man in his next movie, The Wolf of Wall Street, an adaptation of real life white-collar criminal Jordan Belfort's memoirs published with the same name.
Belfort plied his trade in the 80s and early 90s as a Wall Street trader, making millions of dollars and battling a serious drug addiction. Belfort's conviction for shady trading practices in 1994 lost hundreds of millions of dollars for his clients.
The initial announcement of the film in February saw Leonardo DiCaprio's long-time collaborator Martin Scorcese attached to direct the movie, but as of now, no film maker has committed to direct the movie.
Meanwhile, DiCaprio will be seen as millionaire Jay Gatsby in a lavish retelling of the literary classic The Great Gatsby. The movie will also star Carey Mulligan, Tobey Maguire and Isla Fisher, among others.
